Services

Five Services. One Discipline.

Each MCN service is a discipline we install in your business, not a deck we leave behind. Engage one or several - most engagements braid them together.

01 / Operating Rhythm

Cadence Install

The weekly, monthly and quarterly rhythm that turns a leadership group into a leadership team. We install the weekly 1:1, the monthly performance review, the quarterly plan and the decision rights that make each one actually function. The goal is rhythm by default, not heroics.

  • Weekly 1:1s
  • Monthly Reviews
  • Quarterly Planning
  • Decision Rights
  • Meeting Hygiene
  • Agenda Templates
  • Cadence Coaching
02 / Leadership Team Performance

Team Tightening

The honest work of who's in the right seat, who's stretched past their range, and who's quietly blocking the next stage. We coach the leadership team one-by-one, sit through the meetings, name the issues out loud, and re-shape the group around what growth genuinely needs from it.

  • Role Clarity
  • 1:1 Coaching
  • Honest Feedback
  • Team Composition
  • Conflict Resolution
  • Hire / Stretch / Move Calls
03 / Function-by-Function

Operational Tightening

Sales, ops, finance, talent - one function at a time. We walk through each with the function owner, surface the friction, install the KPI stack, and rebuild the operating discipline so each function runs at the size you are now, not the size you were two years ago.

  • Sales Discipline
  • Ops Throughput
  • Finance Cadence
  • Talent Pipeline
  • KPI Stack
  • Pipeline Hygiene
  • Margin Recovery
04 / Founder-to-Operator

Owner Transition Coaching

The work most founders end up doing alone: stepping out of every meeting, delegating real authority, and building a leadership team that doesn't need you to unblock it. One-to-one coaching alongside the broader engagement, tuned to where the owner actually wants to spend their time.

  • Delegation
  • Owner Cadence
  • Exec Coaching
  • Succession
  • Time Re-allocation
  • Board Posture
05 / Growth Diagnostic

Diagnostic Sprint

Two to three weeks. Leadership interviews one-by-one, P&L and management reporting walk-through, current cadence audit. Ends with a one-hour read-out, an honest read on what's holding the business back, and a recommendation on what - if anything - to do next.

  • Leadership Interviews
  • P&L Walkthrough
  • Cadence Audit
  • Org Health Check
  • Honest Read-Out
  • Recommendation Memo
Delivery

How the Cadence Survives After We Leave

The deliverable of an MCN engagement is a running operating model, not a binder.

The point of the install isn't to make MCN central to your business - it's the opposite. Every engagement ends with the cadence running in HeyRamp, our preferred partner platform for ongoing 1:1 and performance management. The weekly 1:1s, the monthly performance reviews and the quarterly planning rhythm all live there, owned by your leadership team, used in their actual meetings.

By the time we step out, the platform is muscle memory. Managers run their 1:1s through it, the leadership team uses it to track commitments, and the rhythm survives whether or not MCN is still in the room. That's the test we hold ourselves to: six months after hand-off, is the cadence still running on its own?

Engagement Timeline

How an Engagement Runs

A typical install end-to-end. Diagnostic sprints run on the same timeline through stage 1 and stop there.

Weeks 1-3

Diagnostic Sprint

Leadership interviews one-by-one, full P&L and management reporting walk-through, current-state cadence audit. One-hour read-out at the end with an honest view of what's actually constraining the business.

Week 4

Scope & Frame

Agree what gets installed - which cadences, which functions, which leadership work - and what gets left out. Fixed fee, fixed end date, named outcomes. Most engagements scope in a single 90-minute session.

Weeks 5-12

Cadence Install

The leadership team rhythm goes in first. Weekly 1:1s start running. Monthly performance review goes live. Decision rights are written down and agreed. Cadence platform is set up. By week 12, the rhythm is running, even if it's still wobbly.

Weeks 13-22

Function-by-Function Tightening

Sales, ops, finance, talent. One per fortnight. We sit with the function owner, surface the friction, install the KPI stack, and tighten the operating habit. The leadership team owns the rhythm by this point and we're inside the functions.

Weeks 23-26

Hand-Off & Step-Back

We move from in-the-room to once-a-week, then to once-a-fortnight. Leadership team runs the cadence without us. Final hand-off session at the end, with a written summary of what's running, what's still fragile, and what to watch for.

Quarterly

Embedded Advisor

Optional. A senior MCN consultant on a quarterly review cadence - half a day, every three months. Designed to keep the operating model honest as the business changes shape, not to keep us in your meetings forever.

Specializations

Where Our Work Is Sharpest

Within the operating-discipline practice, three situations are where MCN's experience is densest.

Growth-Stage Operating-Rhythm Install

Businesses that have hit $5M-$30M without ever installing a real leadership cadence. Usually the founder is still the operating system. This is the most common MCN engagement.

PE-Portfolio Operational Tightening

Private-equity-owned mid-market companies that need the operating discipline to support a value-creation plan. We work with the leadership team in place, not over the top of them. Useful in the 100-day plan window and onward.

Leadership Team Performance

Companies where the constraint is no longer demand, structure or strategy - it's the leadership team itself. Right seats, honest feedback, decisions that actually land. Often runs alongside a founder-to-operator coaching engagement.

Multi-Location Services Operators

Trade, services and multi-location operators across the Southeast where each location is run by a strong owner but the centre has never installed the cadence that pulls them into one operating model.

Founder Step-Back Engagements

Owner-operated businesses where the founder is finally ready to step out of the day-to-day, and the leadership team needs to be able to run without them. Cadence install plus one-to-one coaching with the owner.

Pre-Sale Operating Tighten

Owner-led firms preparing for a sale in the next 12-24 months that need to show a buyer a genuine operating model - not just numbers, but a leadership team that runs without the founder. Tighten the business so the value carries through diligence.

Engagement Formats

Three Ways to Engage MCN

Most clients start with the diagnostic and let it tell us what the right shape is.

2-3 Weeks

Diagnostic Sprint

Tight, focused engagement. Leadership interviews, P&L walk-through, cadence audit. Ends with a read-out and a recommendation - including the option to do nothing yet.

90-180 Days

Install Engagement

The main body of work. Weekly cadence with leadership, function-by-function tightening, and the rhythm live on the platform by the end. Fixed scope, fixed fee, fixed end date.

Quarterly

Embedded Advisor

After install. Light-touch quarterly review with a senior MCN consultant. Designed to keep the operating model honest as the business changes, not to keep us in your meetings.

Ready to Brief Us

Tell Us What You're Trying to Tighten.

A short note on the situation is enough. We'll come back inside a business day with a thirty-minute first call and tell you honestly whether MCN is the right team for it.
